General information

The “Journal of Numerical and Applied Mathematics” (shortly JNAM) publishes original research articles related with the recent developments both in computational mathematics, optimization theory, and other related topics. The journal will also accept papers from some related fields such as functional analysis, stochastic analysis, inverse problems, game theory, system theory, etc., provided that they have some intrinsic connections with computational mathematics and optimization theory. Papers employing computational mathematics and optimization theory as tools serving the cause of interdisciplinary areas such as physical, biological, environmental and health sciences, mechanics and engineering are encouraged.

Target audience of the journal: experts in the fields of computational mathematics, optimization theory and other related fields, as well as applicants for scientific degrees in the specified fields, teachers of higher mathematics and students of mathematical disciplines.

The articles published are addressed not only to mathematicians but also to those engineers, physicists, and other scientists for whom numerical mathematics are valuable research tools. To be published in this journal, an original paper must be correct, new, nontrivial and of interesting to readers.

JNAM is issued two times per year. It is edited by a group of international leading experts in computational mathematics, optimization theory, control theory, differential equations and related fields. The journal is essential reading for scientists and researchers who wish to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of computational mathematics and their applications. The journal is founded in 1997 by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv for researchers and PhD-students who are working in the field of computational and applied mathematics. JNAM is printed according to the decision of the Academic council of the Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv) and is continuation of a series of releases of the collection of scientific works "Computational and Applied Mathematics" which were annually printed during the period from 1965 to 1997.
